Goddard School Sponsor

Drew Angelone created a story of our rookie team winning the Delaware FRC State Competition in January 2019 called “The Little Plywood That Could”. We published the book and gave it out as a thank you to our major Worlds’ Competition sponsors like our Goddard School sponsor.

We went to our local Goddard School to read our book to Ryan’s younger brother’s class. There were 14 in class this day because we came in on Columbus Day so there would be more kids present.

To really catch their interest, we brought our Muppet robot head from Worlds last year and let them play with it as well as a very small Ozobot, which they loved. They voted on a name for it – “TINY” is its official name now!

Interacting with the kids was a lot of fun. We greatly appreciated that the owner of the Goddard School shared information with all the students’ parents about our annual South Jersey Robotics, Inc.’s Robot Run.

Goddard School is currently sponsoring our FRC team Lunatecs, but they sponsored the FLL team Lunabots last year and gave an additional $300 just for our Worlds trip. SJR is very grateful to have them as a sponsor partner. We were happy to thank them by reading to their kids, showing them our robots, and continuing to build a good relationship with them.
