About the Robot Run
The 5th Annual 5K Robot Run is one of the most unique runs in South Jersey – New this year, a Kids Fun Run! Help us make this event bigger than ever as we bring the community, businesses, and educators together for a thrilling day of STEAM awareness! Your sponsorship and participation helps gives youth access to quality STEAM programs, activities, and camps. Together we are helping youth develop 21st century skills and be future leaders in a global economy.
In addition to the Robot Run, LEGO robots, technic robots, and large 120lb robots will be on-site for live demonstrations! There will be STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) displays with hands-on activities located throughout the park, and a Robot Rumble Obstacle Course where kids can operate a remote control vehicle to complete challenging tasks.
Event Details
The event runs from 9:30 am to 1 pm with the Robot Run starting at 10:00 am. Preregistration is highly encouraged. Race Day registration will be available beginning at 9:15 am. Preregistered participants who register by October 25th will receive event bags containing special promotions, discounts, and freebies.

Why is South Jersey Robotics having a Robot Run?
For many students in the tri-county area, low income is a barrier – they cannot afford to attend college and get a good-paying job. South Jersey Robotics sponsors robotics teams in the region in an effort to help change that by giving them a fun way to acquire STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills. The Robot Run fundraiser lowers the cost of joining our teams.
Benefits to our students include gaining access to over $50 million in scholarships through FIRST® Robotics. Our students have the invaluable opportunity to work with and learn from professionals from many careers. Students graduating from our teams are recruited for internships and jobs by top colleges and major companies like DuPont, PSEG and Boeing. Students also develop confidence to pursue their dreams – their lives are changed by their time on our teams!
How can I participate in the Robot Run? Registration is open at https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Sewell/RobotRun! Sign up to run or walk, either in person or virtually or donate to one of the student teams that you see listed on the RunSignUp page for the Robot Run. Additionally, the Robot Run offers marketing exposure for your company and a tax deduction. Several sponsorship packages are offered for various levels of giving and can be customized to meet your marketing needs and budget. Depending upon the amount of your gift, you may receive special promotional opportunities.
