Congratulations to South Jersey Robotics FLL Team The Puggles 18249! Coach Michele Danley and her team attended the Salem Robot Rumble FLL Qualifier event on Saturday, January 20, 2018, and won the Judges Award. Their team project was about fracking waste water and what to do with it.

Laws banning fracking and the waste water are not permanent in NJ. The students wrote a letter to Senator Booker and to the Delaware River Basin expressing their concerns. They also asked Cleanwater.org to take their letter to the public hearings on January 25, 2018, in Philadelphia and present it on their behalf. Coach Danley uploaded their letter to the Delaware River Basin Committee website to be submitted as “evidence” of why banning frack water should be put in place.

The Puggles hope to continue working on this project for a little bit longer and help get laws passed banning fracking and the waste water from entering the Delaware Watershed.
