Velocity’s Little Sparks Camp sparked curiosity and learning in Bridgeton! Mentors and students from SJR’s FIRST Robotics Competition team Velocity dedicated their time and knowledge to teaching Southern New Jersey youth how to open their minds to the possibilities that exist in learning. While this year proved to be a little different, the youth who attended had fun and more importantly learned about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) The mentors and students had a great time, and we give a special thank you to our partners the Alms Center, STEAMWorks, United Advocacy Group, and AmeriCorps Volunteers. Additionally, the Cumberland Empowerment Zone deserves a special thanks for their financial support in making everything happen this year.
