FLL CHALLENGE:

House of LEGO – Penns Grove Middle School, Penns Grove 

1st Place Project Award – Salem Community College Qualifier

Project Title : GLOve

This team designed and engineered an LED glove for delivery package drivers. They were able to showcase the preliminary design sketches, as well as a full-size working prototype that is being field tested by industry partners.

 

The Veggie Raptors – Renaissance Village, Pitman

1st Place Core Values Award – Salem Community College Qualifier

This team impressed the Core Values Judging Panel with their Coopertition, Teamwork Skills, and Gracious Professionalism, which earned them 1st place in this category.

 

The Aces – Mullica Hill

  • 1st Place Robot Design – Salem Community College Qualifier

This award celebrates a team with an efficiently designed robot. From the engineering design of the robot itself, to the unique attachments built to complete this year’s Missions, this team built an efficient and sturdy robot that was used to effectively complete the 2022 challenge.

  • 1st place Project Award – District Championship, Rowan University (The project focused on improving transportation and involved a re-design of shipping containers to save fuel.)

  • Salem Community College Qualifier Mentor Award
  • Presented for consistently excelling in his efforts, with proven results in the areas of impact, leadership, personal commitment and community contributions.

This award celebrates an innovative control system or application of control components – electrical, mechanical or software – to provide unique machine functions.

  • FIRST Spirit Award – World Championship, Houston TX

This award celebrates extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit through exceptional partnership and teamwork furthering the objectives of FIRST.

  • Build the Future – Disney and Lucas Films

A FIRST partnership recognition for the Adaptive Device Program, specifically, Project Propel (adaptive swim fins for veterans wounded in battle and spinal cord injury cord victims).
