The LuNaTeCs helped make a difference in Roger’s life by building him a volleyball launcher.  Now instead of watching his friends play volleyball, Roger can participate in the upcoming Delaware Easter Seals volleyball tournament fundraiser!  Roger is one of our biggest ‪#‎esvbc2016‬ champions, and this year FIRST Robotics Team 316, the LuNaTeCs built him a volleyball launcher so that he can play! We’ll be posting more highlights here throughout the weekend…but to see ALL the action, be sure to follow us on Twitter @EasterSealsDEMD and Instagram @esdelvb.

Make a Difference

Students who are part of South Jersey Robotics teams learn that giving back is a part of a life well lived.  Our students learn lots of STEM skills, yes.  But SJR is about more than that.  Our tagline, Building Bots…Building Futures means giving our students more than technical skills.  When LuNaTeCs students graduate, we want them to be equipped for life, not just college.  That means we invest time and energy in teaching them the value of service, of making a difference in the lives of people around them, just like other people invest into their lives while they are on the team.  We believe that projects like this one for the Easter Seals help them to learn that valuable life skill.
